Facilities at Selby Three Lakes Complex
Local carp legend Julian Cundiff has been a regular at Selby 3 Lakes for many years, here’s a blast from the past from him.
‘…Way before Selby Three Lakes was turned into a carp syndicate it was three separate waters with Lake 1 being the coarse lake, Lake 2 the unknown one and Lake 3 the carp lake. I'd done well on my local waters but had been told in 1985 that Lake 3 was the place to go for a double figure carp. I hadn't passed my car test at the time so I went on my motorbike and if you have ever tried to balance all your gear on a tiny barrow imagine doing it on a Honda XL185.
I set up on what would be the car park swim and first thing in the morning the Optonic screamed, the Cardinal 55 clutch screamed and I landed my first ever Selby 3 Lakes carp”.
Both the Day Ticket Lake and the Syndicate Lake have dedicated, secure car parking areas. The syndicate has fresh running water and telephone charging facilities.
There are eco-portaloo (2) facilities on site for the use of anglers.
Selby 3 Lakes is immaculately maintained and we expect anglers to remove all litter and waste before leaving. Any anglers ignoring this request will not be allowed onto the complex in the future.
Upgrades planned for 2017 / 18
There are plans to provide shower facilities on the Syndicate Lake during 2017 2018.
Saltiz Snacks is a catering van which parks in the car park at the entrance to the day ticket lake. It sells hot and cold food & drinks. They have an extensive menu. Opening times are Monday to Friday 7.00am until 2.00pm. Saturday 08.00am to 1.00pm. Closed Sundays. There is a 24 hour McDonalds take away within 5 minutes walking distance of the Day ticket Lake.
